Multiple Victorian hospitals hacked in suspected ransomware attack

Computer systems at a number of hospitals in western Victorian have been hacked in a suspected ransomware attack.
 
The data breach was reported by the Department of Health and Human Services on Monday, police confirmed on Tuesday.

E-crime squad detectives are investigating and the hacked hospitals have made moves to "quarantine" the breach.
Gippsland Hospital and Barwon Hospital are among those affected, with the latter facility's entire network down since about 4pm on Monday, 3AW radio reports
