YouTube Music is a great app to listen to music, but it has ads.
I frequently like to check F-Droid to see if there are any new open-source apps available and I came across a few alternative YouTube Music apps that you might like.

- InnerTube - I think most users would like this one. You have the option to download tracks to listen offline, so this would work well for those with a restricted data plan. It also has proxy support if you need it. This would help if you're in a region that doesn't support YouTube Music for example.
- ViMusic - This one has a funky layout. Some do not like the vertical tabs layout of ViMusic, but I kind of dig it. Unfortunately, I think I read somewhere that the author has stopped development on this app and is creating a brand-new app to supplant this one. Also this one doesn't offer the ability to download tracks, so it's streaming-only, but does cache songs to avoid restreaming.
